Presenter

Ankur is a Sr. Solutions Architect in the ML Frameworks Team. He focuses on helping customers with self-managed distributed training and inference at scale workloads in PyTorch. Prior to joining AWS, Ankur led teams of data scientists to solve problems in the industrial predictive maintenance domain at big corporations such as Atos and emerging startups like Uptake. He also has experience working in digital twins and probabilistic design optimization at GE Global Research Center. During his tenure at GE, he developed advanced Bayesian methods for probabilistic design and optimization of gas turbines. He completed his doctoral studies from Mechanical Engineering at Rice University and post-doctoral research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
